Effective: July 1, 1997 Latest Legislation: House Bill 438 - 121st General Assembly If a debtor appears before a county court, without process and confesses that the debtor is indebted a debt owed to a creditor, on the application of the creditor, the court shall render judgment on the confession against the debtor for a sum not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars.
