Effective: September 29, 2011 Latest Legislation: House Bill 153 - 129th General Assembly (A) As used in this section: (1) "Legislative agent" has the meaning defined in section 101.70 of the Revised Code. (2) "State agency" has the meaning defined in section 117.01 of the Revised Code. (3) "State institution of higher education" means any state university or college as defined in division (A)(1) of section 3345.12 of the Revised Code, community college established under Chapter 3354. of the Revised Code, state community college established under Chapter 3358. of the Revised Code, university branch established under Chapter 3355. of the Revised Code, or technical college established under Chapter 3357. of the Revised Code. (B) No state agency or state institution of higher education shall enter into a contract with a legislative agent, with a cost exceeding fifty thousand dollars in a calendar year, without the approval of the controlling board. This section does not apply to an employment contract pursuant to which an individual is employed directly by a state agency or state institution of higher education as a legislative agent.
