§ 2807-o. Early intervention services pool. 1. Definitions. The\nfollowing words or phrases as used in this section shall have the\nfollowing meanings:\n (a) "Early intervention services" shall mean services delivered to an\neligible child, pursuant to an individualized family service plan under\nthe early intervention program.\n (b) "Early intervention program" shall mean the early intervention\nprogram for toddlers with disabilities and their families as created by\ntitle two-A of article twenty-five of this chapter.\n (c) "Municipality" shall mean any county outside of the city of New\nYork or the city of New York.\n 2. Payments for early intervention services. (a) The commissioner\nshall, from funds allocated for such purpose under paragraph (g) of\nsubdivision six of section twenty-eight hundred seven-s of this article,\nmake payments to municipalities and the state for the delivery of early\nintervention services.\n (b) Payments under this subdivision shall be made to municipalities\nand the state by the commissioner. Each municipality and the state of\nNew York shall receive a share of such payments equal to its\nproportionate share of the total approved statewide dollars not\nreimbursable by the medical assistance program paid to providers of\nearly intervention services by the state and municipalities on account\nof early intervention services in the last complete state fiscal year\nfor which such data is available.\n
