§ 1214. Rapid transit law. During any period when the transfer, or any\nrenewal thereof, authorized by section eighteen hundred three of this\ntitle shall be in effect: 1. Articles five and eight and sections ten,\neleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, seventeen, thirty,\nthirty-two, thirty-six, thirty-six-a, thirty-seven, and thirty-eight of\nthe rapid transit law shall be suspended.\n 2. Articles one, three, six, seven and nine and sections sixteen,\nsixteen-a, thirty-one, thirty-three, thirty-four and thirty-five of the\nrapid transit law shall continue in force and effect and the authority\nshall have and exercise all the functions, powers and duties heretofore\nexercised by the board of transportation, or any members or officers\nthereof, under such articles and sections, provided, however, that where\nthe provisions of this title shall be inconsistent with any of the\nprovisions of such articles or sections of such law, the provisions of\nthis title shall govern and control.\n
