§ 826. Definitions. For purposes of this article:\n  1. The term "displaced homemaker" means an individual who:\n  (a) has worked in the home, providing unpaid household services for\nfamily members;\n  (b) is not gainfully employed;\n  (c) has had, or would have difficulty in securing employment; and\n  (d) has been dependent on the income of another family member but is\nno longer supported by such income, or has been dependent on federal\nassistance but is no longer eligible for such assistance, or is\nsupported as the parent of minor children by government assistance or\nspousal support.\n  2. The term "commissioner" means the industrial commissioner of the\nstate of New York.\n
