§ 219-b. The New York state court officer academy. 1. There shall be\nestablished a New York state court officer academy (hereinafter referred\nto in this section as the "academy"). This academy shall serve as a\ncenter for the provision of education and training to New York state\ncourt officers and other non-judicial employees of the New York state\ncourts.\n  2. The chief administrator of the courts may enter into one or more\nagreements jointly with the dormitory authority and with any other\nperson, firm, association, corporation or agency pursuant to which\nfacilities for such academy shall be procured, constructed or otherwise\nprovided and thereafter maintained; provided that: (a) a branch of such\nacademy shall be established on the property or properties located in\nthe county of Kings; and (b) a second branch of such academy shall be\nestablished in one or more facilities within the county of Saratoga.\nExpenses of the unified court system in relation to such an agreement or\nagreements shall be paid out of funds appropriated to the judiciary for\nthat purpose.\n  3. Except as otherwise provided in an agreement specified in\nsubdivision two of this section, the academy shall be deemed a\ncourt-related agency of the unified court system and shall be operated\nby nonjudicial employees thereof.\n
