§ 169. Continuation in office of certain attendants and clerks. A\nconfidential attendant or clerk to a justice of the supreme court shall,\nupon the death or retirement of such justice, continue in office until\nan appointment of a confidential attendant or clerk shall be made by the\njustice elected or appointed to fill such vacancy.\n
