Amendment and repeal of local laws and ordinances

§ 195-m. Amendment and repeal of local laws and ordinances. Any such\nlocal law or ordinance may be amended, from time to time, or repealed by\nthe common council or other local legislative body of the municipality\nwhich enacted it by a two-thirds vote of such legislative body and such\namendment or repeal, as the case may be, may be made effective and\noperative not earlier than thirty days following the date of enactment\nof the local law or ordinance effecting such amendment or repeal, as the\ncase may be; and the approval of a majority of the electors of such\nmunicipality shall not be a condition prerequisite to the taking effect\nof such local law or ordinance.\n
