§ 1204. Respondents.  There shall be named as respondents:\n  (a) All last known owners or claimants as disclosed by the records of\nsuch court, provided however that if (1) the particular fund does not\nexceed five hundred dollars, or (2) such last known owners or claimants,\nwith respect to a particular fund, exceed ten in number, or (3) the\nrecords of such court fail to disclose the number of owners or claimants\nwith respect to a particular fund with a reasonable degree of certainty,\nthey may be designated and described as a class, to wit, as "last known\nowners or claimants to the fund or property deposited to the credit of\nthe following entitled actions or proceedings in the United States\nDistrict Court for the .............. District of New York: (naming the\nactions and proceedings by their titles as appearing on the original\nprocess which instituted such actions or proceedings, or by suitable\nabbreviations thereof, which shall sufficiently describe such actions\nand proceedings); and\n  (b) All unknown owners or claimants, who may be designated and\ndescribed as "unknown owners or claimants to the fund or property\ndeposited to the credit of the following entitled actions or proceedings\nin the United States district court for the ............ district of New\nYork: (naming the actions and proceedings by their titles as appearing\non the original process which instituted such actions or proceedings, or\nby suitable abbreviations thereof, which shall sufficiently describe\nsuch actions and proceedings)."\n
