A person who violates a provision of the Signed Language Interpreting Practices Act is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be sentenced pursuant to Section 31-19-1 NMSA 1978. IV, § 23, was effective June 15, 2007, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
