All the procedures contained in Chapter 45, Article 5 NMSA 1978 pursuant to the appointment of a conservator for a person under conservatorship shall apply. The person for whom a conservatorship is sought shall not be allowed to consent to the appointment of a conservator by the court. History: 1978 Comp., § 45-5-426, enacted by Laws 1989, ch. 252, § 27. Repeals and reenactments. — Laws 1989, ch. 252, § 27, repealed former 45-5-426 NMSA 1978, as enacted by Laws 1975, ch. 257, § 5-426, relating to enlargement or limitation of powers of conservator, and enacted a new section, effective June 16, 1989.
