The "teacher residency fund" is created as a nonreverting fund in the state treasury. The fund consists of appropriations, gifts, grants and donations to the fund. Money in the fund is subject to appropriation by the legislature to implement the provisions of the Teacher Residency Act. Disbursements from the fund shall be made by warrants of the secretary of finance and administration pursuant to vouchers signed by the secretary of public education or the secretary's authorized representative. History: Laws 2020, ch. 25, § 8. Effective dates. — Laws 2020, ch. 25 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective May 20, 2020, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
