Regular meetings of the community college board shall be held not less than quarterly each calendar year. Special meetings may be held upon call of the chairman or a majority of the board. The secretary of the board shall notify members of the time and place of each meeting, and all notices shall be mailed to each board member at least ten days prior to the date of the meeting. Upon agreement of all the members of the board, however, the period of notice of the meeting may be shortened or waived. The 1993 amendment, effective June 18, 1993, substituted "not less than quarterly each calendar year" for "on the first Saturday of March, June, September and December of each year" at the end of the first sentence.
