When a licensee prepares or has prepared a brokerage agreement authorizing or employing the licensee to purchase or sell real estate for compensation or commission, the licensee shall deliver a copy of the brokerage agreement to the client signing it at the time the signature is obtained, if possible, or otherwise within a reasonable time thereafter. Receipt for the copy may be made on the face of the brokerage agreement.
