Nevada Code § 636.028

Applicability of chapter: Inapplicability to certain students; applicability to clinicians or instructors engaged in practice of optometry

1. Except as provided in subsection 2, a
person is exempt from the provisions of this chapter regulating the practice of
optometry if the person is engaged in a clinical program of a school or college
of optometry accredited by the Board and if the person is a student who is
enrolled in a clinical program of an undergraduate or graduate course of study
in optometry at such a school or college and who has not received a degree of
doctor of optometry.
2. A person who is employed as a clinician
or instructor and who engages in the practice of optometry in this State is
required to be licensed by the Board.
