Nevada Code § 63.700

Power of Chief of Youth Parole Bureau to appoint employees and to contract with university or organization for research or training

1. The Chief of the Youth Parole Bureau
may appoint such employees as are necessary to carry out the functions of the
Youth Parole Bureau.
2. The Chief of the Youth Parole Bureau
may enter into contracts with colleges, universities and other organizations
for the purposes of:
(a) Conducting research in the field of
delinquency and crime prevention.
(b) Training special workers, including social
workers and parole officers who:
(1) Work part-time or full-time;
(2) Work as volunteers or for
compensation; and
(3) Are engaged in the fields of
education, recreation, mental hygiene, and the treatment and prevention of
delinquency.
