Expiration of license; exception; Department to prescribe by regulation when license expires; deferred expiration of license of persons on active duty in Armed Forces and certain members of their families

1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 483.283 , every drivers license expires
as prescribed by regulation.
2. The Department shall adopt regulations
prescribing when a drivers license expires. The Department may, by regulation,
defer the expiration of the drivers license of a person who is on active duty
in the Armed Forces upon such terms and conditions as it may prescribe. The
Department may similarly defer the expiration of the license of the spouse or
dependent son or daughter of that person if the spouse or child is residing
with the person.
