1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, a person shall not knowingly, for valuable consideration, purchase or sell a part of a natural person for transplantation or therapy if removal of the part from the natural person is or was intended to occur after the natural persons death. 2. A person may charge a reasonable amount for the removal, processing, preservation, quality control, storage, transportation, implantation or disposal of a part. 3. A person who violates this section is guilty of a category C felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130 , or by a fine of not more than $50,000, or by both fine and the punishment provided in NRS 193.130 .
