Nevada Code § 388.605

Definitions

As
used in NRS 388.605 to 388.655 , inclusive, unless the context
otherwise requires:
1. Board means the Board for the
Education and Counseling of Displaced Homemakers.
2. Director means the Director of the
Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.
3. Displaced homemaker means any person
who:
(a) Is not gainfully employed or has less than
full-time or adequate employment;
(b) Has worked at home for a substantial number
of years providing household services to members of his or her family without
compensation;
(c) Has difficulty in securing employment
adequate for economic independence; and
(d) Has been dependent:
(1) On the income of another member of his
or her family, but is no longer supported by that income;
(2) Upon public assistance but is no
longer eligible; or
(3) On another member of his or her family
for the management of his or her personal finances, but that person is no
longer available to provide that assistance.
