Nevada Code § 284.195

Action by employee against appointing authority if appointed contrary to law and regulations; reimbursement of appointing authority prohibited

1. Any person employed or appointed
contrary to the provisions of this chapter and the rules and regulations
thereunder whose payroll or account is refused certification shall have an
action against the appointing authority employing or appointing or attempting
to employ or appoint the person for the amount due by reason of such employment
or purported employment, and the costs of such action.
2. No appointing authority, during the
time of the official service of the appointing authority or thereafter, shall
be reimbursed by the State for any sum so paid or recovered in any such action.
