Advisory planning commission: Appointment; composition. [Effective until the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers.]

The Agency shall appoint an advisory planning
commission to serve in an advisory capacity to the Agency. The planning
commission shall include:
1. The chief planning officers of Carson
City and the counties of Douglas and Washoe;
2. The county health officer of Douglas
County or a designee of the county health officer;
3. The county health officer of Washoe
County or a designee of the county health officer;
4. The Administrator of the Division of
Environmental Protection of the State Department of Conservation and Natural
Resources or a designee of the Administrator;
5. The Executive Officer of the Nevada
Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, who shall act as chair; and
6. At least two lay members, each of whom
shall be a resident of the region.

commission: Appointment; composition; terms; vacancies; quorum. [Effective upon
the proclamation by the Governor of this State of the withdrawal by the State
of California from the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact or of a finding by the
Governor of this State that the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has become
unable to perform its duties or exercise its powers.]
1. The Agency shall appoint an advisory
planning commission to serve in an advisory capacity to the Agency. The
planning commission must include:
(a) The chief planning officers of Carson City
and the counties of Douglas and Washoe;
(b) The Chief of the Bureau of Environmental
Health of the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of
Human Services;
(c) The Director of the State Department of
Conservation and Natural Resources;
(d) The Executive Officer of the Nevada Tahoe
Regional Planning Agency, who shall act as chair; and
(e) At least two lay members, each of whom must
be a resident of the region.
Any official
member may designate a substitute.
2. The term of office of each lay member
of the advisory planning commission is 2 years. Members may be reappointed.
3. The position of each member of the
advisory planning commission shall be considered vacated upon loss of any of
the qualifications required for appointment, and in that event the appointing
authority shall appoint a successor.
4. A majority of the members of the
advisory planning commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of
the business of the commission. A majority vote of the quorum present shall be
required to take action with respect to any matter.
