The governing body of any city desiring to annex territory under the provisions of NRS 268.570 to 268.608 , inclusive, shall first pass a resolution stating the intent of the city to consider the annexation. The resolution must: 1. Describe the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; 2. Fix the date for a public hearing on the question of annexation, which must not be less than 30 days nor more than 60 days following the passage of the resolution; and 3. Direct that notice of the public hearing be given in the manner provided in NRS 268.586 .
