Opinion of board of county commissioners on advisability of incorporation and feasibility of proposed city; election required

1. Upon conclusion of the final hearing,
the board of county commissioners may take the matter under consideration and
shall, within 30 days after the conclusion of the hearing, issue an opinion, in
writing, concerning the advisability of the incorporation and the feasibility
of the proposed city.
2. The board shall designate a date on
which the election will be held. The date of the election must not be earlier
than 60 days nor later than 120 days after the board issues its opinion.
3. The board shall cause notice of the
election to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the
county at least once each week for 3 consecutive weeks. The final publication
of notice must be published before the day of the election.
4. The notice must include a copy of the
petition, a description of the area proposed to be incorporated, the statement
of the estimated fiscal effect of the proposed incorporation prepared pursuant
to NRS 266.0263 , the location of the
polling places and the date and time of the election.
