Board of county commissioners may require new bond of county officers or monthly reports of county fiscal officers; examination of books

1. The board of county commissioners
shall:
(a) By an order to that effect entered upon the
record, require a new bond of any county or township officer, with additional
sureties, whenever the board deems the same necessary.
(b) See that all the county and township officers
entrusted with the collection, disbursement, safekeeping or management of the
public revenue, faithfully perform the duties imposed upon them by law, and
shall cause them to be prosecuted for any delinquencies.
2. The board of county commissioners may:
(a) Require of all county or township officers,
entrusted with the collection, management, safekeeping or disbursement of
public funds, a monthly report of all collections and disbursements made by
them during the preceding month.
(b) At any time examine their books, accounts and
vouchers.
