1. A notarial officer may perform a notarial act authorized by NRS 240.001 to 240.169 , inclusive, or by law of this State other than NRS 240.001 to 240.169 , inclusive. 2. A notarial officer other than a notary public may not perform a notarial act with respect to a document to which the officer or the officers spouse or domestic partner is a party, or in which either of them has a direct beneficial interest. A notary public may not perform a notarial act if the notarial act is prohibited by NRS 240.001 to 240.169 , inclusive. A notarial act performed in violation of this subsection is voidable.
