County to designate forensic laboratory to conduct or oversee analysis; criteria

1. The board of county commissioners of
each county shall designate a forensic laboratory to conduct or oversee for the
county any genetic marker analysis that is required pursuant to NRS 176.09123 , 176.0913 or 176.0916 .
2. The forensic laboratory designated by
the board of county commissioners pursuant to subsection 1:
(a) Must be operated by this State or one of its
political subdivisions; and
(b) Must satisfy or exceed the standards for
quality assurance that are established by the Federal Bureau of Investigation
for participation in CODIS.
