It shall be the duty of the state forester and other employees as appointed by the commission: (1) To promote forestry by assisting any person in forest management, the planting of trees, the conservation and development of trees and the protection of forests and other trees from fires, insects, and diseases; (2) To assist in the enforcement of all laws and rules and regulations applicable to forest fires.
