Treasurer's bond.

The treasurer, before entering upon the discharge of his duties, shall enter into a bond to the state of Missouri, with one or more sureties, to be approved by the board, conditioned that he will render a faithful and just account of all money that comes into his hands as treasurer, and otherwise perform the duties of his office according to law. The bond shall be filed with the secretary of the board. The treasurer shall be the custodian of all school moneys derived from taxation for school purposes in the district until paid out on the order of the board, and on breach of the conditions of the bond, the secretary of the board, or any resident of the school district, may cause suit to be brought thereon. The suit shall be prosecuted in the name of the state of Missouri, at the relation and to the use of the proper school district.
