Sec. 6521. Except as otherwise provided or limited in statutes specifically applicable to courts of limited jurisdiction, the courts have jurisdiction over actions at law, including statutory actions and remedies which are not equitable in nature, when the amount claimed or the matter in controversy does not exceed the jurisdictional limits applicable in the courts.
