At the first meeting of the governing body of a county following the meeting at which the examiners submit their report on the proposed opening, altering, or closing of a road, if no objection is made on the report, the governing body may: (1) affirm, reject, or amend a finding or determination of the examiners; or (2) continue the proceeding over to the next meeting of the governing body and to successive meetings.
