The purposes of this subtitle are to: (1) Protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public, and specifically protect individuals who are the direct recipients of services regulated by this subtitle; (2) Maintain standards in the delivery of naturopathic medical services to the public; (3) Ensure that the health care provided by qualified naturopathic doctors is accessible and available to the residents of the State; and (4) Provide a means of identifying qualified naturopathic doctors in the State.
