(a) (1) The Board of Community College Trustees for Prince George's
County consists of nine members.
(2) Each member shall be a resident of Prince George's County.
(3) Except as provided in subsection (b)(2) of this section:
(i) The term of a member is 5 years; and
(ii) A member may not serve for more than 2 consecutive
terms.

(b) (1) Eight of the members shall be appointed by the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Senate, one from each legislative district in Prince
George's County.
(2) One of the members shall be a regularly enrolled student in good
standing at Prince George's Community College. The student member shall:
(i) Be elected by the student body of the Community College
in the same manner as other student government officers are elected;
(ii) Have the qualifications required to be student body
president of Prince George's Community College; and
(iii) Serve for a term of 1 year beginning July 1 and ending June
30 and if a vacancy occurs during this period, a special election shall be held to elect
a successor for the remainder of that term.
(c) The cost of any election shall be paid by the student government.
