(a) There is a Maryland Digital Library in the Commission. (b) The purpose of the Maryland Digital Library is to: (1) Strengthen the academic library cooperation in the State; and (2) Create fiscal efficiencies through enhanced cooperation among academic libraries. (c) The Maryland Digital Library consists of the academic libraries in public and private nonprofit institutions of postsecondary education that hold a certificate of approval from the Commission.
