Judgment against governmental entity or employee; effect

1. Separate action against governmental employee. Any judgment against a governmental
entity shall constitute a complete bar to a separate action for damages by the claimant, by reason of the
same subject matter, against any public employee whose act or omission gave rise to the claim.

whose act or omission gave rise to the claim shall constitute a complete bar to a separate action for
injury by the claimant, by reason of the same subject matter, against a governmental entity.

3. Joinder. Nothing contained in this section shall be construed as preventing the joinder of any
governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity in the same action.
