Fishing with more than 2 lines

1. Prohibition. Unless otherwise provided:
A. A person may not fish with more than 2 lines at any one time during the open-water fishing

B. A person may not fish during the open-water fishing season unless that person's fishing lines
are under that person’s immediate supervision. [PL 2009, c. 214, §8 (NEW).]

2. Penalty. The following penalties apply to violations of this section.
A. A person who violates this section commits a civil violation for which a fine of not less than
$100 nor more than $500 may be adjudged. [PL 2003, c. 655, Pt. B, §276 (NEW); PL 2003, c.

B. A person who violates this section after having been adjudicated as having committed 3 or more
civil violations under this Part within the previous 5-year period commits a Class E crime. [PL
