A. The Louisiana Real Estate Commission shall have the authority to establish rules and regulations to certify, regulate, and discipline real estate schools and instructors in the state. The commission shall establish standards for course content including the legal, economic, mathematical, ethical considerations, and fundamentals of the real estate business. B. The Louisiana Real Estate Commission shall have the authority to certify, regulate, and discipline real estate continuing education vendors in the state and to establish rules and regulations pertaining thereto. C. The commission shall not certify, or accept educational hours for credit from, any real estate school or any real estate continuing education vendor in which a substantial economic interest is held by a legislator or a member of the commission, member of his immediate family, or any entity in which he directly or indirectly holds a substantial economic interest.
