Transfer of boards, commissions, and agencies to Department of Justice

A. For purposes of this Chapter, references in Chapters 22 and 24 of this Title to the "secretary" shall refer to the attorney general, references to the "undersecretary" shall refer to the director of the administrative services division, and references to an "assistant secretary" shall refer to a director of a division created in this Chapter. B. The Law Enforcement Officers and Firemen's Survivor Benefit Review Board (R.S. 40:1665.3 and other provisions of law applicable to the board) is placed within the Department of Justice and shall perform and exercise its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities as provided by law. C. The Governor's Consumer Protection Division (R.S. 51:1401 et seq.) is hereby abolished and its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities are transferred to the Department of Justice and hereafter shall be exercised and performed as provided in Part IV of Chapter 22 of this Title. D. The Louisiana Sexual Assault Oversight Commission, R.S. 15:555 et seq., is placed within the Department of Justice and shall perform and exercise its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities as provided by law.
