A. The board shall appoint a professional director who shall have three to five years of experience in the museum field. The director shall serve as executive officer of the board and shall discharge all operational, maintenance, administrative, and executive functions of the board, subject to the control, jurisdiction, and supervision of the board. B. The board may remove the director by an affirmative vote of a majority of the total appointed membership at a meeting called for that purpose and then only after hearing by the board, if so requested by the director.
