The department may order a retest of designated animals at any time, ifthe department determines that a retest is necessary. In case of reactors, one retest shall be granted the owner of the designated animals by the department upon the request of the owner or owner’s veterinarian before thedesignated animalsare permanentlymarked asreactors. Theexpense of the retest of reactors shall be borne in the same manner as provided in section 164.6.
