Sec. 1. (a) This section applies after June 30, 2017. (b) The secretary may design and issue a dealer designee license plate for use by the secretary or a designee of a licensed new or used motor vehicle dealer. (c) A dealer that assigns a dealer designee license plate and registration card to a person shall report to the secretary on a form issued by the secretary the date of assignment, the person's name and address, the date of termination of the assignment, and any other information the secretary requires. A copy of the form must be kept at all times in the vehicle displaying the dealer designee license plate. (d) The fee for a dealer designee license plate and registration card is twenty-one dollars and thirty-five cents ($21.35). The fee shall be distributed as follows: (1) Forty percent (40%) to the crossroads 2000 fund established by IC 8-14-10-9 . (2) Forty-nine percent (49%) to the dealer compliance account established by IC 9-32-7-1 . (3) Eleven percent (11%) to the motor vehicle highway account under IC 8-14-1 .
