Sec. 7. (a) A governmental body may enter into an agreement with other governmental bodies under IC 36-1-7 to form a cooperative purchasing organization. (b) This article applies to the purchases made by a cooperative purchasing organization. (c) A cooperative purchasing organization is the purchasing agency for a governmental body with respect to the purchases made for the governmental body by the cooperative purchasing organization. An individual designated by the cooperative purchasing organization is a purchasing agent for the governmental body with respect to the purchases made for the governmental body by the cooperative purchasing organization.
