Sec. 41. (a) A political subdivision, another governmental entity, a public instrumentality created by state law, or a public body created by state law may, in the area in which it is authorized to act, do all things necessary to aid and cooperate in the planning and undertaking of a redevelopment or economic development project, including furnishing the financial and other assistance that it is authorized by this chapter to furnish for or in connection with a redevelopment plan or redevelopment project. (b) A unit, another governmental entity, a public instrumentality created by state law, or a public body created by state law may enter into agreements with the commission or any other entity respecting action to be taken under this chapter, including the furnishing of funds or other assistance in connection with a redevelopment or economic development plan or project. These agreements may extend over any period, notwithstanding any other law.
