Juvenile court jurisdiction

Sec. 6. Notwithstanding IC 31-30-1-2 , the juvenile court has exclusive jurisdiction over a child who: (1) has been taken into custody in the county; and (2) has allegedly committed an act that would be a misdemeanor traffic offense if committed by an adult.
