Request for release of foster child's Social Security number; denial

Sec. 5. (a) The department shall deny a request made under this chapter if: (1) the child does not have a Social Security number; (2) the department does not have a record of the child's Social Security number; or (3) the conditions in section 4 of this chapter are not met.       (b) If the department denies a request, the response to the request must include the reason for the denial.
