Investment gain; policyholder surplus

Sec. 40. This article does not prohibit a farm mutual insurance company from doing the following: (1) Distributing underwriting or investment gain to policyholders of a farm mutual insurance company. (2) Accumulating a reasonable policyholder surplus for the payment of losses or other expenses.
