Treatment of at-risk clients

Sec. 2. (a) If the certified direct entry midwife, physician, and client agree that the certified direct entry midwife may continue to provide services to the at-risk client, the certified direct entry midwife shall enter into a written collaborative plan of treatment with the collaborating physician.       (b) The collaborative plan of treatment under subsection (a) must be in writing and include the following provisions: (1) The circumstances that would require consultation or referral with a physician. (2) The circumstances that would require transfer of responsibility for the primary care of the at-risk client.
