Indiana Code § 22-4-33-3

Assignment or pledge of rights to benefits; levy; execution; exemptions

Sec. 3. Except as provided in IC 22-4-39 , any assignment, pledge or encumbrance of any right to benefits which are or may become due or payable under this article shall be void; and such rights to benefits shall be exempt from levy, execution, attachment, or any other remedy whatsoever provided for the collection of debt until such benefits are actually received by the recipient.
