Reports to council by bodies performing official legislative business

Sec. 8. (a) All boards, commissions, and committees performing official legislative business between the regular sessions of the general assembly may be required to submit to the council progress reports and a final report. Such reports shall contain such information as the council may require and must be in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 .       (b) The budget committee of the state budget agency shall, upon request of the council, report to the council in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 on the progress of its activities including an estimate of the revenues, an estimate of the surplus of revenues over expenditures, a report of current and projected expenditures and any other data which will enhance an understanding of the fiscal affairs of the state.
