Reimbursement program; reimbursement rates; funding

Sec. 4. (a) After completing the review under section 3 of this chapter, the office may develop and implement a reimbursement program to reimburse costs that are incurred by a parent or guardian of a child to provide in-home early education services to the child.       (b) If the office develops and implements a reimbursement program under subsection (a), the office may not give preference to a child located in a county that does not have a child care provider that meets the standards of quality recognized by a Level 3 or Level 4 Paths to QUALITY program rating located in the county.       (c) The office may develop reimbursement rates for the reimbursement of in-home early education services.       (d) Reimbursement by the office under this section may be funded from any of the following sources: (1) Federal grants. (2) State appropriations. (3) Money from a political subdivision (as defined in IC 36-1-2-13 ). (4) Money from the prekindergarten program fund established by IC 12-17.2-7.2-13.5 .
