Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "disaster relief organization" means an entity that provides emergency or disaster relief services that include health or veterinary services provided by volunteer health practitioners and: (1) is designated or recognized as a provider of the services under a disaster response and recovery plan adopted by an agency of the federal government or the department of homeland security; or (2) regularly plans and conducts the entity's activities in coordination with an agency of the federal government or the department of homeland security.
